A VISION FOR THE NEXT LAP

Action Community For Entrepreneurship

As one of the founding members of the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE), Kim Faulkner was privileged to be a part of envisioning the next next lap for this movement.

In the run up to its 10th anniversary in 2013, they wanted to review its core purpose and emphasis for the decade ahead, and Activiste led an Envisioning Workshop for the Exco members.

CHALLENGE

The entrepreneurship landscape in Singapore had changed dramatically over the 10 years since ACE was conceived. The challenge was seek new areas of relevance and impact.

SOLUTION

Through a specially designed and facilitated workshop for the key members of the ACE executive committee, Activiste got participants to focus and better define what ACE was trying to achieve for entrepreneurs, and to drill down to the pillars which would support its ambition of helping individuals to start-up enterprises of scale and significance.

IMPACT

ACE was re-launched as a private sector led, non-profit ogranisation in 2014, working with the community to engage and support promising entrepreneurs through resources, networks, mentorships and overseas access; as well as outreach to schools and youth to inspire their entrepreneurship journey in the future.

“On behalf of ACE and the committee, may I say that the process has been most helpful and in hindsight, we should have taken this process much earlier.”
