Platform E

The newly launched entrepreneurship centre and eco-system by the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), had to reach out to aspiring entrepreneurs from 18 years, to mid-career switchers in their 40’s and 50’s.

CHALLENGE

For a unique eco-system with a completely different approach to nurturing entrepreneur start-ups, a differentiated approach was required.

Furthermore, the new launched Platform E had to kick off its inaugural recruitment drive over the 2016 Christmas festive season, as well as the 2017 January Lunar New Year public holidays in Asia. With its 12 month IntensE programme starting in April 2017, an integrated client and partner approach meant “all hands on deck” focusing on getting the Platform E message out.

SOLUTION

Timing aside, it was also evident that outreach and engagement had to be more than communications but also experiential. Using our Demand Creation Framework, Activiste worked with the client in conceptualising and implementing an integrated campaign which would attract, convert and retain aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups which match the Platform E profile.

Integrating media relations, social media and digital marketing, events and activities, Activiste worked closely with the client team and partners to engage and rally stakeholders and the community to get on board.

The Activiste team including Kim, Galen and Rofi was a good partnership – their working closely alongside the Platform E staff as one team, always ready to share and debate ideas, go that extra mile to get things done, and keep to schedules made all the difference to ensuring we had a fruitful branding journey and launch.
