Singapore Management University

Leadership and the desire to positively impact and influence the future have always been core tenets of the Singapore Management University.

At the end of 2018, SMU and the Lee Kong Chian School of Business established and rolled out a new lecture series that brings some of today's most dynamic leaders together to discuss emerging areas of significant transformation, and the role that tomorrow's leaders must be ready for.

Activiste was tasked with creating a compelling event graphic style, that reinforced the overall institution’s positioning, which could be managed by the LKCSB in the longer term.

Working with numerous teams within SMU and the LKCSB, Activiste developed a simple but exciting event graphic that would prominently feature the charismatic speakers that would drive attendance, and adequately convey the energy of the event.

The overall event graphic was developed in harmony with the overall institution’s visual system, ensuring that positive equity generated by the event is naturally associated with not just the LKCSB but all schools under the SMU banner.

Both the inaugural lecture, and the following one have seen strong attendance both from internal audiences comprising staff, faculty, students and alumni, as well as, external partners from across industries.

The events garnered strong publicity, and have had good social traction – accurately capturing the vibrant discussions that happen on campus, shaping a culture of positive ambition and the desire to create meaningful impact.
