Galen Mendez

Strategy Director

Galen revels in the conspiratorial nature of discovering identity, the afterglow of collaborative creativity and the intangible click of people getting it. He also speaks in the third person.

Galen has been a consultant with Activiste since 2009. He has worked across a diverse range of strategy, naming and research projects for institutional clients such as the National University of Singapore, to medical care with the University Children’s Medical Institute at NUH, to companies such as Boardroom Limited, MAJ Aviation, Keppel Land, Frasers Hospitality amongst others.

Innovative problem-solving has always been an integral part of Galen’s career both within the Singapore Armed Forces as well as in the commercial world.

His London-based education provided the training and direction in creative thinking and creative media writing; whilst his stint as an officer in the army was instrumental in developing leadership capabilities as well as a disciplined and targeted approach to planning and implementation of specialised projects.

Returning from London, he spent a year with Spafax Airline Network, in the capacity of a media representative and serviced accounts across a range of industries with a focus on retail, travel, and F&B.

Galen holds an honours degree in Creative & Media Writing from Middlesex University and a diploma in Mass Communications from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
